DLP TV Lamp

If you have a DLP TV that needs a new TV lamp you have a lot of options out there. Choosing the right lamp can be very confusing. Here is the truth about TV lamps most repair shops and online retailers don't want you to know:

There is a world of difference between a GENERIC lamp and the ORIGINAL lamp.

The difference lies in the brightness and in the life of the lamp.
Most original lamps are going to be rated for 5,000-6,000 hours.
Most generic lamps are going to be rated for 1,000-3,000 hours.
Even if the generic lamp lasts a year, it will be a weak picture for most of that time. It's just not worth using cheap, generic lamps.

6 month warranty on lamps

You can find cheap, generic lamps on Amazon. We get many phone calls from customers asking for help with their DLP TVs. When they tell us the symptoms of a bad lamp, we tell them they just need a new lamp. They will tell us that they just replaced the lamp a week ago or a month ago. The first question I ask is, "did you buy it on Amazon?" If they say yes, we are sure to have a bad lamp. Using cheap, generic lamps turns into a waste of time and money. It doesn't matter if they give you a 6 month warranty. They'll just send you bad lamps until the warranty is over (no the warranty does NOT start over with every cheap lamp they send).

We stock the original lamps on most common sets:

  • Samsung
  • Mitsubishi
  • Sony
  • JVC
