Mitsubishi - TV shutdown - Airflow blocked

Symptoms: 
TV will shut down after displaying the message, "TV will shut down in a few seconds please check if the air flow is blocked." Starts off as an intermittent problem.

Intermittent horizontal lines in picture. Looks like vertical hold problem. Picture may be darker than usual. Improves after the set warms up.
